Moon Knight

Character » Moon Knight appears in 752 issues.

Moon Knight, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, Jake Lockley: four different aspects of the same man, who was resurrected by Khonshu, the Egyptian Lunar-God of Vengeance and Justice, to serve as his "avatar", and perform various acts of vengeance and justice on unjust mortals.

A little help, please...

Hi guys,

I'm interested in reading some Moon Knight, after seeing him in small doses in various Marvel stories. I was just wondering if I could get any recommendations?

With it in mind that I tend to like my comics very clever, dark, mysterious and grim. :-)

Well most everyone will recommend Moon Knight vol.6 if you want dark and gritty that's the place to start. If you want to start at the beginning try the original Doug Moench run and I recommend the first 30 issues of Marc Spector: Moon Knight. And even know their hard to find, try Moon Knight: High Strangers and Moon Knight: The Resurrection War

I find the Marvel Essentials to be pretty useful in getting a ton of material for a pretty low price. Some people don't like the black and white aspect, but I didn't mind it at all. Of course if you're trying to collect his individual issues for collection's sake you probably wouldn't want buy them, but if you're just trying to read the most Moon Knight material for the least amount of money, I'd say there's no better way to go than picking up his three Essentials. The stories themselves are superb.
