I'm not sure if this has been done before, but I wanted to try my hand at some 8-bit art and Moon Knight was my first practice subject. What do you guys think?
Moon Knight
Character » Moon Knight appears in 1414 issues.
Moon Knight, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley: four different aspects of the same man who was resurrected by Khonshu (the Egyptian Lunar-God of Vengeance and Justice) to serve as his "avatar." Those unjust mortals who prey upon the innocents traveling at night, with powers that come from the moon, beware the Vengeance of the Moon Knight!
8-bit Moon Knight
@danial79: This is really cool.
Here's another one:
All the characters as seen in Moon Knight #1...

These are nice! I can easly reconise all of them!
@cyberwarrior: Thanks. I had heaps of fun making these and I'm considering doing all of Moon Knight's allies & rogues... though that depends on time and commitment.

I'l be waiting with inpatience )
Frenchie looks like Mario XD
@danial79: I'm sorry if I offend you, but did you really do these? My apologies if you did. Its just strange that you went from an extreme level of detail in the start screen to 8 bit work for the sprites and just a simple Megaman reskin in the first image. Why not a consistent theme throughout? Moon Knight would translate well to 16 or even 32 bit style artwork.
@redlantern23: Yeah I made them. The start screen is just a resize and palette change of the Moon Knight #1 cover. There was less skill in making that than the sprites :)

Ermahgerd, I think I love you right now.
Um, in a totally straight, heterosexual way, that is.
hahaha Thanks... I think :P
Here's the original scene if anyone is having trouble remembering it:
@danial79: How did you make these? There great.
@veshark: I was actually planning to. Do you know of a scene that would make a good 8-bit game level?
@jonny_anonymous: Just Photoshop. I found an NES colour palette and basically just draw them pixel by pixel.
@danial79: so cool. I might try my hand at it sometime
@danial79: Oh ok that makes sense. Well they do look awesome my friend!
@veshark: Good one. I'll see what I can do :)
EDIT: Here you go!
@jonny_anonymous: The hardest part is the colouring. The NES palette has REALLY limited colours. It doesn't have yellow for instance, so you have to go with orange or this gross lime green if you want to show yellow :)
This is actually really cool! And P.S a Moon Knight video game would be awesome and a real boost for the characters fandom. :)
@dabee: Unfortunately that is beyond my skill-set. If you know any game developers though, feel free to let them know I'm available for art duties :)
@tparks: My plan was to animate the entire origin in 8-bit style... until I realised exactly how much work that actually entailed :P
