Somehow, Buck Lime is to blame for this

Readers of the previous issue will know how the situation ended: Moon Knight and Echo were confronted by the police as they finished a quiet date consisting mostly of fighting crime. The start of the book (naturally) opens to this, and it's great to see Moon Knight struggle to know what to do. I'm not entirely sure if it's intentional, but his Captain America persona seems to represent his heroic side, his Wolverine persona his aggression and instincts, and Spider-Man his humorous (and possibly protective?) side. Watching those three argue over what he should do in the opening scene is great, and there's a bit of an ''Oh crap!'' moment when one of the personalities gets a bit more control.

After that, however, the pace slows down. We see Moon Knight and Echo escape the police, Echo punch Moon Knight, Buck Lime pick up Marc (not in that way!), and Tick Tock nearly get interrogated by the police. That's it. The entire issue probably barely takes place over an hour (were it occurring in real life).

There's some good chemistry between Echo and Moon Knight, and I think that she was a good choice for a girlfriend for Marc (assuming that this is her future role). I also enjoyed the scene with the policeman interrogating Tick Tock, and how he says that he left New York to get away from the superheroes and villains and so that he could do some actual cop work. It's the kind of thing that I can realistically see happening in real life. Seeing Tick Tock hesitate and get worried about revealing the identity of the Kingpin of L.A. is also pretty cool, especially considering that he basically had a get-out-of-jail-free card had he said it. It says something about his character and the Kingpin's, too.

Overall, this issue wasn't really that bad, I just wish a bit more had happened. If you skipped this issue, you probably wouldn't really miss that much. The plot is slowly edging along, but a little bit faster would be a good improvement.

(Also, the title of this review is a bit of a joke. I just happened to notice that both this issue and #3 featured Buck Lime, and both were the ones in which the pace slowed down noticeably. Don't take it seriously!)

Review for Moon Knight #5.  The Story: Marc and Echo runaway from the cops and Tick-Tock gets interrogated by the police.  The Good: Some might be getting annoyed by the hallucinations but here is played up very well. Bendis has a good voice for each of them and how there experience's would try and influence Marc. Cap doesn't want him to hurt the cops since there just doing there jobs, Spidey wants him to run and get Echo and Wolvie wants him to cut loose on the cops in order to runaway. The con...

If Only You Were As Cute As You Think You Are 0

The way that Alex Maleev's Moon Knight pops against the backgrounds in this book is stunning. I could sit and stare at Alex Maleev's art for hours. Everything about Moon Knight is just so well done. The two-tone, inks and white page just work so brilliantly. Everything about Moon Knight pops in every panel he's in.It's brilliant because Marc is the only thing standing between L.A. (and the west coast) and crime. If that sentence terrifies you, then you've been reading the same book I have. Echo'...
