Not Entirely a Bullseye, but not far off

    Possible spoilers
Continuing Bendis's current run of Moon Knight, this issue continues Marc Spector's war against the Kingpin of L.A. And by continues I mean it sets up some further stuff for the arc. Honestly, this issue is mostly setting up and introducing more characters.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Marc ends up getting a new sidekick in the form of Buck Lime, a former SHIELD agent. We also see some of the behind-the-scenes stuff of Marc's TV series, which I enjoyed as the last issue had nothing to do with the TV series. Marc trying to convince Echo to hang out with him was also pretty good. The final page does a good job of setting up the next handful of villains for Marc, and I'm looking forwards to seeing the upcoming fight.

However, whilst this series does set up some further plot points nicely, it's also it's biggest flaw. As I mentioned above, Marc gets a new sidekick, and most of the issue is Marc talking to him and deciding whether he's trustworthy or not. The idea of a new sidekick was a good idea, but it ended up being stretched out a bit too long. I also think that ''Bullseye'' was in the issue solely for the cover to try and trick people into buying it.

Overall, the issue wasn't as bad as it could have been, but I hope that the action picks up again soon. I can forgive an issue or two of setting up if it is essential to the end of the story, but any more and it gets too slow. The final page sets up some more villains, so hopefully we'll get to see some more action next issue.

I Would Love to Know How Bendis Came Up With the Name Buck Lime 0

Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev slow things down this issue to develop Marc Specter's new status quo in Los Angeles for readers, further dealing with Echo and introducing some new supporting cast members.  Much of this issue focuses on the introduction of Buck Lime, a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Marc hires on to secretly be his weapons supplier and adviser. There is almost a metatextual moment in this issue where Marc tells his assistant Amy that they do not need a French guy to play the role...

      Much Better... 0

Cover:   Applicable and extremely neat.  It was very confusing on the solicits because they kept showing this one as #4, but I can see how it would be important for the cover to represent this particular issue.  The Good:   The dialogue and the interactions in this particular issue are astounding.  I still have a lot of reservations about Bendis' depiction of Moon Knight, but in this issue, his state of mind really shines and the way that he reacts to everyone in L.A is nothing short of awesom...
