Frank Johnson was 33 when his powers manifested themselves. He didn't know how to control them and everything he began bumping into the walls of his house, causing it to collapse to and kill his wife and daughter.

The Police tried to arrest him for the crime and he's been on the run since. For awhile he worked as a fireman in New York, but started to get put on television for his deeds so he left the job. Then joined Damage Control as a member of their Search-And-Rescue division.

When SHIELD found out that some of the members of the team had powers, they were required to register with the Super-Human Registration Act. He obtained a fake I.D. with the help of Ant-Man in order to conceal his identity.
