This issue ties into the not-so-great Monster Hunters Survival Guides, but with the connection to an actual story it fares better. However, it doesn’t fare that much better as it is still a bit of a run-of-the-mill story not really noteworthy for any originality or a particularly gripping story. The tory is intended as somewhat of a horror based one but even there this doesn’t really live up to expectations as it mostly falls flat with creating any real tension. It is still fairly stylized in its presentation and execution, even if the execution is for a sub-standard story. This is mostly forgettable which should mean it is easy enough to pass over.
