    Origin

Moira Brandon was a rich and snotty former movie star and bombshell who fell on hard times with the advent of "talkies" because she had an unappealing voice due to years of smoking. Becoming a recluse in her lavish mansion that she had bought with the money she made as a star of silent pictures, she sold her mansion to Hawkeye, Mockingbird and Black Goliath for the Avengers to use as a West Coast base.

    Creation

Moira Brandon made her first and only appearance in a flashback in Avengers West Coast #100 by Roy Thomas and Dave Ross.

    Character Evolution

Moira Brandon has only made the one appearance to date but has subsequently appeared listed among the rest of the members of the Avengers in countless handbooks. She was revealed to have passed away off-panel some time later when she received her own handbook entry in Marvel Legacy #4.

When Hawkeye and Mockingbird were checking out the house they were attacked by Crossfire who bested them and planned to execute the two. They were saved by Moira Brandon who shot Crossfire with a crossbow he had discarded earlier.

Moira was injured in the skirmish and claimed that saving Hawkeye and Mockingbird was the most alive she felt in years to which Hawkeye and Mockingbird decided to make her the "first official West Coast Avenger".

She is reported to have died some years later, although has retained honorary Avengers membership despite not having any powers or ever truly fighting alongside them.

    Powers and Abilities

Moira Brandon has no superhuman powers or abilities. Due to her age, she also possesses below average stamina, strength, mobility and countless other things.

    In Other Media

    Hawkeye

Moira Brandon owned the vacant apartment that Clint Barton and Kate Bishop used in the Hawkeye streaming series. An actress was cast to play the part and is featured in a deleted scene. In the scene she catches the two Hawkeyes squatting in her apartment and swings her cane at them. The voice over of Kate claiming the apartment belonged to her aunt appears to be a fix for the character never showing up.
