Eight quintals of gold have been extracted secretly, in the Amazon, by the Forbes Rubber Company. Guarding it are four gallows-birds: Boris (an old friend of Mister No’s), Karl Pachino (Audrey’s husband, a friend of Mister No), Ugarte and Klaus. The four have sunk the gold in the river and now they want to recover it. But Karl has been killed: who else knows about the gold?
