    Miracleman #15

    (Spoilers)

Probably the most well known Miracleman or Marvelman issue in Alan Moore's epic run on this British superhero.  I read this issue some years ago and frankly this one issue brought me to love the Miracleman series. After reading this issue, I had no real idea what was going on. Only that the villain or antagonist of the issue, Kid Miracleman was a deranged Superman or Captain Marvel. The first few pages  of the comic shows the horrible things that the former side-kick of Miracleman has committed to the city of London.  It is like an image of Hell, people impaled to metal metal poles, heads falling from the sky, the ocean around London is filled with blood, and lastly Kid Miracleman sitting on a pile of heads as he waits for Miracleman to arrive to battle each other.

The fight between Miracleman and his allies versus Kid is quite brutal and very well drawn. Each one of his allies either being killed or easily being beaten by his former side-kick. Everything has been sent to take down Kid, from angels to nuclear explosions. Nothing can stop Kid. Until one final attempt from Miracleman's ally, Warpsmith. The ending is depressing, yet it is for the best ending after everything had happen in the issue. Alan Moore was at his best  while writhing the issue. I love the story telling and how the art was brilliantly done. Perhaps one of the best single issues, I have ever read. A powerful final duel between to former allies.

    5/5
