    Playing me

To be honest at one point I was wondering why I was still reading this series.  The production has been good throughout and the story lines generally pretty interesting, but something just felt a little off for me, like what gripped me in the first issue was not there any longer.  I am happy though that I stuck around to this issue because it captures everything from before and then some.  The story here focuses more on Dane than on Elle, but in so doing it reveals complexities to both characters that have been missing somewhat since their introduction in the first issue.  It is not just that those complexities are introduced though, it is that they are used to drive the mystery forward as well as an expected villain emerges.  Also I don't usually make note of the artwork but it was pretty good here, especially the "family photo" cover.  This was a really good issue and really the entire series is one of the better ones being produced right now, even if there are no superheroes in it.
