    Review: Nemesis #2 2

The team that brought you Marvel's Civil War brings you Nemesis, an ultra-violent comic for adults by two of the industries best creators around.   The Good Batman on coke, in white. That's the best way I could describe this book. This is one of those books were Millar can essentially do whatever he wants, like Kick-Ass. But unlike Kick-Ass, I actually enjoy this book, to a degree. The thing that bugged me about Kick-Ass was the cursing. There's a bit of cursing in this book, but it fits. I...

Mark Millar steps it up. 0

Mark Millar really steps things up in issue number two. We get to learn about Nemesis' back story and why he hates Morrow so much. Where the first issue was really gimmicky with swearing and blood this one is much better and there aren't just random swears thrown in for no reason....

Told you it'd get better 0

I recall that in my review of Nemesis #1, I said that the first issue was setting things up and that we'd get the real deal by the second issue.....I was right.   The first issue was a 4 out of 5, and with issue #2 it's still a 4 out of 5 but now we have some character development, now we learn more about Nemesis and his motives and I got to admit his origin story is quite clever. It's a interesting origin to an interesting character in an interesting story... but I just wish I could say the sam...

Crime is Awesome And So Is Nemesis 0

The Good: Right from the start, the cover just screams awesome. "Crime Is Awesome And So Am I"Nemesis. He's an awesome character. He may be fairly flat but hey, he's badass, and sometimes that's enough. Not everything needs to make you re-think the way you see the world, sometimes badass is just badass. And Nemesis is badass in spades. Nemesis again. He's always 3 steps ahead of everyone. It's a totally awesome joyride through the streets of gore and ass-kicking. The art makes everything look ab...

    Unlawful Abiding Citizen 0

Issue 2 doesn't let up on the Millar-ness. But, it's tamer than the first issue and not as memorable. Not to say it isn't memorable or good. It's the required build-up issue. You get some back story and then a chase scene, basically. Which sets things up for the third issue.  There is a scene that is very similar to a scene from Batman Returns and I'm curious if this was yet another spoof/homage to Batman by Millar. I hope so, since it's one of the more silly Batman (film) moments....

Nemesis is BORN! Time for a real show. 0

Nemesis is bent on making Chief Blake Morrow pay, and when Nemesis is bent on achieving something -- know that he will do whatever it takes! The GoodDon't think for a second that Nemesis is down for the count. This series keeps getting better! Millar really set the stage last issue at introducing us a super criminal. Giving us a brief glimpse at what Nemesis is capable of. Now with the introduction of the character and also the tone of the comic, Millar and McNivens are now going to delve into w...
