Miek is an insectoid warrior, and one of the last of his kind from the planet Sakaar. He becomes warbound with the Hulk during Planet Hulk.

Origin

Miek is a member of a race of insectoids that is native to Sakaar. Members of his race are constantly enslaved by the "pinkies". Most of Miek's hive was killed or enslaved when Miek was young, and Miek is forced to fight in the Red King's gladiatorial arena. During a fight with the Red King, the Hulk saves Miek's life. Because of this Miek remained close to the Hulk, assisting where possible. Like most of his race, at this point Miek was both small in stature and is very thin, making him a target so that the other gladiators must continually protect him from harm.

After breaking free of the Red King's control, Miek ventured into the wilderness with the rest of his Warbound allies. Miek brough the Warbound back to where he was born, discovering many members of his hive still enslaved by the Imperials. Miek's attitude towards the Imperials grew even worse with this, growing to hate the "pinkies" and wanting to kill all of those responsible for the atrocities committed against himself and his race. Miek underwent a metamorphosis, becoming one of the Kings of his race. Afterwards Miek was much larger, stronger, and more durable. Miek discovered his Queen, the last remaining female of his species, and helped to free her. Later when the Spikes were released upon the Warbound, Miek's queen was infected and began changing into a Spike. Miek had to kill her to save her from becoming a Spike.

After the defeat of the Red King and the Hulk reuniting the survivors, Miek assisted the Warbound in working to rebuild and restore the new Sakaar. No longer having a Queen of his own race, Miek has began developing a relationship with No-Name the broodspawn. Miek was getting upset that Hulk was becoming a peace maker instead of a killer, so Miek caused Hulk's ship to detonate causing a massive exsplosion.

Miek along with the warbound, forged new weapons and headed to earth to get revenge on the Illuminati. Once they got to earth, Miek fought Rick Jones. Both of them believed Hulk 'should' be a hero, thus causing them to agree to disagree. Miek brought Jones to Madison Square Garden to witness the defeat of the Illuminati members. Later, Miek revealed that he was keeping a secret. He caused the warp core failsafe in the ship to explode. Miek tried to spear a weakened Bruce Banner, but it got Rick Jones instead. Due to the his treachery, Hulk and No-Name tried to kill Miek.

Being extremely durable, Miek survived, and was imprisoned in SHIELD's Negative Zone prison.

Powers

Miek is a member of an insectoid species that is native to Sakaar. They are typically short (shorter than a normal human) and thin, bipedal, and have four arms and an armored exoskeleton. After changing into King Miek, Miek became much larger and thicker (comparable to the size of the Hulk or Korg). He is much stronger than before and his armor is also much thicker and more durable, able to withstand blows from the Hulk. He could be comparable to a giant cockroach in that aspect.

Like other members of his race, Miek possesses a low level form of telepathy which he can use to communicate to other members of his species sharing common memories and experiences (a process known as chemming). This ability is not limited only to members of his race, as when he accepted the Warbound as members of his hive they were able to become involved in the chemming process once Miek initiated it. When this happens they are drawn into the chemming without necessarily consenting to it.
