    The Midnighter is challenged by Hawksmoor to take on a different kind of mission, one with a little more humanity. Amused by the dare, Midnighter agrees, only to find that nothing ever comes easy in this nasty world we live in.

    Gage's Midnighter isn't the walking slaughterhouse (at first) that we've come to know and love, but that's not a bad thing. I loved the way everything went. Even when Midnighter is being shown in a different light, he retains all the dark humor and ultraviolence that he's known for. When Jack Hawksmoor sends Midnighter to get in touch with his human side and act like a normal hero for once, he gives it a genuine effort, but the world he lives in takes over and a simple errand turns into a fight ...

    Review:  Positive:   This has got to be one of the most entertaining stories I've read. Jack challenges Midnighter to do an ordinary mission where he must enteract with normal human beings. Funny how he tell's him that because throughout most of their missions The Authority usually kill, so you have to wonder sometimes if they, let alone Midnighter, has any morals at all. So Midnighter takes the challenge, but from helping a little finding her lost cat to fighting cyborgs and stopping a mad scie...
