This series is definitely taking an upturn. The stories are getting better and the action is better. It feels more concise now.
The battle with Hydra and Baron Karza is over. The good guys have triumphed and are now mourning their loses. The Micronauts have lost Biotron and are also putting to rest Prince Shaitan and Queen Esmera.
I found the confrontation (for lack of a better word) between Acroyear and Cilicia was interesting. Acroyear has gained some level of emotion and Cilicia is very upset at him, going so far as to call him a traitor. This is a twist I did not expect.
Nick Fury delivering a Eulogy. I never would have seen that one coming.
I also like how the writers used this issue to wrap up a story line (defeat of Karza and Hydra) and are kicking off a new story line. For the new story we find Mari, Bug and Acroyear venturing into Commander Rann's brain trying to save him from the coma like state he's in. They run into trouble in many forms in his mind. They also find an object that will lead them on a future adventure. This a great way to bring us to the next story line. Nicely done. Smooth transition
I expect this story line to be a good one.
This issue is a keeper.
