Mickey Mouse first starred in the cartoon short Steamboat Wille. Mickey was first called Mortimer, but Disney was cheated out of his comic strip mouse and then re-named him Mickey Mouse.
Mickey now has countless amounts of fans all over the globe. He even had a whole park dedicated to him and everything Disney. The stories Mickey has starred in are endless, the likes of which have been enjoyed by many kids and adults, who thank Mickey and the man named Walt Disney.
Mickey has appeared in various publishers' comic books.
He also has his own show, The House of Mouse, in which he, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Clarabelle run the place. This was a Toon Disney show in 1996.
