Michael Turner...sad news
Think it's the first time I've liked and known enough about a writer or artist to care that they've died. That's sucky news.
This is such a shock to me... He's one of my favourite artists in comics, I loved all his work... he will be missed.
Man, this is awful. I liked his art. And his determination, he kept up as much as humanly possible even while fighting cancer, the guy is a legend.
"Think it's the first time I've liked and known enough about a writer or artist to care that they've died. That's sucky news.Thats exactly how I feel. I don't normally no artist or writers by names, but he was one of them I did. This is so sad.
"
He was one of today's great artists and one of my personal favourites. His art was dynamic and bold and made the books he worked on classics before you read the first page.
While I am saddened that we will never see his work in another comic, I am also grateful for his work on countless books. I am sure there will be plenty of artists inspired by his work joining this industry in the years ahead and probably are already.
My condolences to those that knew him if they read this.
"Damnit,Cosmic Sentinel...you had to post the art didn't? lol. It's not a proper tribute without the art. His JLA work was some of his best, that one seemed particularly appropriate.
His JLA work was so awesome!"

I know.
And you know the vultures are going to be out. All his stuff's prices are going to skyrocket. I don't know what his last official work was but you can bet that his variant cover for Uncanny X-Men #500 will be impossible to find for anywhere near cover price. I have to say the idea disgusts me. I get it'd be about supply and demand but people shouldn't try to profit off of a tragedy.

"
what does this mean?"
That just is beyond bad news. I'm just absolutely guttered. He was the only one I liked that drew Wonder Woman perfectly for me.
He will be hugely missed.
R.I.P
This is terrible. One of the few artists I really cared about, and the man's taken away like this. Why is it that the good ones who relly light up people's lives are the ones that are so cruelly taken awy well before their time? Seriously, there's no justice in this world. My heart goes out to his bereaved family and friends at this point.
I loved the way he drew Superman and Wonder Woman. In his loving hands, they really were perfection.
A shame that now vultures will be looking to profit from the great man's memory, since the price of all Turner merchandise is gonna go through the roof.. Let a legend's memory remain and let him rest in piece with dignity for crying out loud.
Great artist, loved his work over the years and he died way too young. My heart goes out to his family.
This is so sad.
He was the one who brought my favorite heroine to life...Witchblade. He has brought in a new dimension to the comic industry by focusing on detail drawing and making everyone he draws look beautiful and handsome.
I will miss his style and technique. But one thing for sure, his legacy of inspiring me in my art works will forever live on.
I'm not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints of snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die
The comic book world has suffered a great lost, goodbye and thank you Mister Turner
I read this news earlier today and have been in shock ever since. Michael Turner is the reason I started reading and collecting comics again after a 10 year break. I don't know what else to say. He will be missed greatly. My condolences to his family and friends.
R.I.P. Michael
"Do not stand at my grave and weep
I'm not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints of snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die

That was damn moving... And he was just in his late 30s! His run of Fathom and Witchblade will always be remembered, and his art, will prevail through ages... Even though i haven't read a lot of Michael Turner's stuff i always payed special attention to his work.
TO THE MAN THAT GOT ME INTO COMICS:
I just want to say thanks. I have heard nothing but the greatest of you, Michael and would have loved to have shaken your hand. You will forever always inspire us all...
His work was incredible and you could just tell he loved what he did. I wish his family peace in this time, and the strength to find comfort and joy in who he will always be, amidst this season of mourning.
To everyone who worked with Michael: KEEP THE APSEN LEGACY ALIVE AND PLEASE CONTINUE HIS WORK!!!
Mike, thanks again to all you've done...
Your work will eternally inspire...

He was an inspiring person not only in his artwork but also his battle with cancer. He gave a great run and I will truly miss him.
My heart also goes out to Jeph Loeb who has had to endure many casualties in his career.
This is truly sad...
He will be missed.
