    A very influential black & white silent early science fiction film from the German Expressionist school which utilizes splendid cinematography, commendable special effects for its time, and notable dramatic themes. It is considered both a science fiction and silent film classic, and received numerous awards. The film has also been restored, reinterpretated and scored numerous times.

    Metropolis is an early silent science fiction film which takes place in the year 2026. It tells the story of a dystopian society and illustrates the wide difference between the lavish rich and the working poor as a result of that goal.

    The movie features what is possibly the first "female android" or "gynoid", and other Sci-Fi themes.

    Metropolis, An Early Vision 0

    We currently live in an era filled with relatively easy accessability to electronic mediums like radio, television, and of course, the Internet.     Added to these we also have the remarkable devices such as desktop and laptop computers,  digital cameras, cell phones, and now electronic notepads, and some of which are capable of delivering the mediums of radio, television, and the Internet.  Quite remarkable.    These are items which Sci-Fi authors dreamed of many years ago and the first one to ...

    The Classic You've Never Seen 0

    Metropolis (Restored) is the classic you've never seen unless you're either about 100 years old and saw the original - or have watched this re-release in the very recent past. I myself thought I had seen a restored version of this (back in the 1980s), but there has since been a much more massive restoration to this film that it's completely different (and better) than what I'd already seen.  You see, a TON of lost footage was discovered and restored to the film in 2008, and the film makes much m...
