With the ability to scan other life forms, Metal Sonic is almost impossible to defeat.
When Metal Sonic scans all the members of team Sonic, team Dark, team Rose, and team Chaotix, he transforms into a giant Metal Madness.
Metal Madness is very durable but can be wounded. After Metal Madness is wounded enough he upgrades again into Metal Overlord which gains wings to fly with. Metal Overlord is invicible to all attacks except the power of all seven chaos emeralds used against him.
