An Introduction to a Fascinating Epic

The world of Jodorowsky's Metabarons is a cold distant future, that combines sword wielding warriors with epic sci-fi tech and planets. The only problem one has with this issue is that since the Metabarons is a large-scale grandiose space opera, it requires a bit of introduction. While Jodorowsky's framed storytelling is very effective at making the introductions anything but dull, it still feels like a lot to take in for a debut issue. The series has a reputation for great action along with highly literary storytelling so some action junkies might be a little disappointed by the relative lack of battle, but things do pick up and the ride is rewarding.
