Is this story arc 616?

Messiah War

"Messiah War" is the second crossover in the "Messiah" trilogy. Set over a thousand years in the future, X-Force were sent to retrieve Cable & the baby mutant, Hope. There they encounter Stryfe, Bishop, Apocalypse and a thousand year old Deadpool.

Is this story arc 616?

Yes. It's the precursor to Second Coming. All Uncanny X-Men, X-Force, New Mutants, etc. are 616.

If it's not "Ultimate Something" or "Something MAX" and it's a Marvel title, then there's a good chance it's in 616.

My guess is that is an alternative timeline that spawns fom 616.

Well, HOM and AOA are not 616. Neither is Days of Future Past.

Are you talking about the whole story arc or just when they go into the future?

All futures are alternative time lines since whatever they do there or in the past after coming back changes it. The issues and story arcs are considered 616, but the future stuff is alt time line connected to 616.
