Emma Frost First meeting: Unknown Mercury is one of the students at Xavier Institute and one of the New X-Men in training. Emma was the mentor of the Hellions. Emma and Mercury have an odd relationship because while Mercury respects her as the headmistress, she thinks that Emma isn't really looking out for everyone's interests due to her witnessing Emma try to convince Laura (X-23) to leave the school, humiliate Julian (Hellion), and how Emma handled the matter of Wither, who left school and was supposed to be under Emma's surveillance. |

After the Decimation, the team disbanded and both were chosen to join the New X-Men where their friendship continues. |
