Hellions The last group to use the "Hellions" moniker, thus far, is actually a node to the original team. Due to the mass amounts of mutant students that are enrolled at the Xavier Institute as new program was brought to the front. The student body was to be broken into squads. These squads would have one of the senior staffers assigned to them as an advisor, and each group would range from 5-6 mutants each. One of the more promenent squad was named the Hellions who's advisor was none other than Emma Frost. The group included Julian Keller (later assuming the codename Hellion), Cessily Kincaid (Mercury), Santos Vaccarro (Rockslide), Sooraya Qadir (Dust), Dallas Gibson (Specter), Josh "Jay" Gutherie (Icarus), Brian Cruz (Tag), Kevin Ford. During M-day:<br> Mercury was a member of the Hellions during the re-made world of Scarlet Witch during the events of House of M. In this re-made world, mutants are the majority and are in power. Young burgeoning mutants now have two options for their future schools. Either picking between the New Mutant Leadership Institute, ran by Xi'an Coy Mahn (Karma), where here they develop the future diplomats and leaders of the world, though they do not get combat training. The other option is to join the S.H.I.E.L.D. training program, ran by Sebastian Shaw. It is here they have a more military training focusing on warfare and covert operations. The training team is called the Hellions. This group included Scion (Earth-616's Hellion), Magik (Illyana Rasputin), Wind Dancer, Quill, Mercury, Surge, Synch & Anole. Danielle Moonstar, also a member, is a fully-fledged S.H.I.E.L.D. member and is assigned to the training of the team and does participate in active battle with them Her assistant trainers are Aurora and Northstar. |

Xavier Institute Mercury is one of the students at Xavier Institute and one of the New X-Men in training. Mercury has an unique physiology and exists as a non-toxic metallic substance which she can morph into different shapes, solid and liquid. It also enables her to cling to walls and ceilings. Furthermore she no longer requires to eat, although she does so anyway since it helps her feel more human. She has also proven immune to Wallflower's pheromone powers and Wither's decay touch. The latter suggests that her body is completely non-organic. Her main weakness is electricity. |
