Snowbird's long lost sister?

I've thought this for a while and I'm not sure if it was ever exclusively explored....but there was a storyline back in Excalibur where Meggan realized her true form.....and it was eerily similar to Snowbird.

They're both elemental's, although Meggan seems to have a wider variety of powers. They're shapeshifters with limitations on their powers outside their motherlands, a binding enchantment of which both of them eventually broke free.

I know Meggan is listed as a mutant, but is it possible that the Inuit goddess, Snowbird's mother, may have had another half-human daughter or maybe one of the other gods?

Meggan's limitation to the UK was only because she patterned herself after Brian Braddock who was limited to Britain.

@ExistenceBiker: what does that have to do with the topic?

Interesting possibility.

Doubtful but I do see a strange resemblance. They really do need to get more into Meg's family and heritage...maybe have her go on a search for them in her own little mini-series.

Maybe it is one of those plot lines that just never happened. I've noticed quite a few of them over the years where they lay the ground work for a plot line but they never get to it for whatever reason. Much like the one in Alpha Flight many years ago where they hinted that Wolverine was the father of Flex. Who knows.

I never really made the connection before, but they do look kinda similar. That said, Namorita had similar looking eyes, cheekbones & pointy ears the first time she was blue. So I suspect it's just the lack of detail in comic book art :)

I had a starfish codpiece lying around here somewhere, what say we break 'em out when the 90s become the new 80s?

@Thunderscream: I'm not going back to my 90's hair! But I could go for alien-chick sparkly black contact lenses. I think I'd have to be Meggan though, not Namorita or Snowbird ;p

I always theorized that Flex was actually Colossus' son from the Savage Land. His powers are more similar to Flex's than Wolverine's were. But I guess after Alpha Flight vol. 2 ended they showed Piotr's son as still living in the Savage Land so there goes that idea.
