G1 for me

Megatron has always had awesome designs. Favorite two are probably G1 and Beast Wars. I actually quite like the RoTF look too, with the feet-treads.

@mrdecepticonleader: Oh, season 1 T-Rex of course. T-Rex was my all time favorite animal and hero growing up, and Beast Wars was the frist Transformers series I ever saw as a kid, so when I saw the robot who could turn into a T-Rex...geek overload!

The Dragon form was equally epic, glad they used it again for the character Scourge in Armada.

War for Cybertron.

This one was a little tougher then the Optimus Prime one. Although after thinking about it #2 spot would have to be G1 after Unicron changes him.

Yeah same here. Beast Wars was one my earliest memories too. And so was Megatron from Beast Wars.

It was, and I liked how he only got that form for the last 3 episodes of season 3.

Really like that design too. I think it is my favourite one from the Unicron Trilogy Megatrons.

most of the Transformers toys do suck though....it's really hard to get a good design down for both robot and vehicle mode without one of them looking like crap

I really wish that they'd make the Revoltech figures a little bigger...at least 6 inches and not $50 for a 3.75" figure

I really disagree. There are alot of fantastic Transformer toys out there. It just the War Within figures on the most part are not that great.

And I am not a big fan of non transforming Transformers either.

Generation 1 Megatron is the best, followed by War for Cybertron Megatron.

@mrdecepticonleader: there are some really great Transformer toys but you really have to dig through a lot of crap to find them and often when you do they cost an arm and a leg

@ostyo yeah...don't get me wrong Revoltech makes some great looking figures but I don't believe that it's worth spending 50 bucks on a figure the same size as a G.I.Joe and 50 bucks is the on the low side for some of these...because they're imported they're hard to find and you'll often see them going for upwards of 100 dollars

@danhimself: It depends. I mean I think the way the toyline is handled currently there is alot of crap and stuff that gets made that doesn't need to be there.

@mrdecepticonleader: I think the best thing to happen would be for Bandai to start making Transformers models like the Gundam models...can you imagine a Perfect Grade Optimus Prime or Megatron?

Out of that list, probably "War for Cybertron".

I don't know I still much prefer how they are made currently. I mean it would be cool to see but I wouldn't want the entire line to be geared that way. One thing Id like to see is an updated MP Megatron since the older one looks a little spindly and is not very durable. To have him in scale with the newer smaller MP Prime.

well Hasbro would still make the regular line I just think it would really great to see Bandai do a few Transformers models

I agree but to my dismay this has just got moved to the Megatron page. Which means it likely won't get more attention now :/ And I know that @mrdirector786 tried to make one but it just got moved.

I like all 4 of these guys the best!!!

But my most favorite Megatron is RID Megatron. He's also known as Gigatron. He's 13m tall and so very powerful!!! He's a Decepticon Warrior and a Predacon Beast Form too. He transform to Twin Dragon Mode and use "Twin Dragon Breathe" to make an explosion as big as hell to versus Omega Prime's Ultra Laser. The most powerful attack he has ever used is "Scorpus Laser", he transform to a Giant Hand and use that to overspread electricity to blast and destroy everything with massive explosion! He's powerful enough to transform to 10 alt modes:

Prime. Perfect mix of classic and the modern of design the bay films went with. Taking the best parts of both designs and making it into something great.

My issue with most Gen 1 designs is they look like toys first and characters second which isn't bad but not my preference
