Maximillian Williams is the teenage son of detective Twitch Williams. After twitch and his wife split up max starts acting out by running away from home. Soon after he leaves he meets a girl called Dawn that he quickly falls in love with. As there relationship progress over the next few days he realises that he is not jut in love with her, but that he physically needs her and without her he becomes ill and will die. One day he wakes up and finds that she has brought him to strange temple filled with other young people and here he learns that she and all these other people are vampires and that Dawn has turned him in to a vampire as well. These vampires are all part of an evil cult known as the kingdom which intends to consume all the evil in New York City by killing everyone in it. Spawn manages to stop this plan by destroying all the vampires including Max, but a week later Max visits hi father in a dream where he tells his father that he is alive but can not return, because he does not belong there and also that he is nether human or vampire but something different.
