A friend and I were talking about the movie and Maverick's powers came up. He said he found a power that doen't appear on any website but appears on the backs of the trading cards. 

Maverick before his power died out the first time had limited precognition but it only give him like a 5 sec head start so nobody care to use it. When marvel revamp Maverick in his own series they erase his power because it was never put to good use anyway.
