The story here is pretty good, it introduces an important character in Maverick's stories, Elena Ivanova. This is also one of the very few times that we get to see Kestrel (John Wraith) in all his glory. The flashbacks of Team X don't tell much new, but they reestablish some things that were already known, Creed (Sabretooth) is a sociopath, and Wolverine hesitated a lot when it came to killing innocents.
