Mary Jane Watson is the major love interest of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. She married him but didn't(!), now she's one of the few people who know who he is, and still supports him as his closest friend and confidante.

I need to be held sometimes...

 Would Mary Jane always be faithful to Peter. He's always leaving her alone while he plays with Black-Cat and who knows who else. A girl can get lonely, you know.

I think it was in the Spidey newspaper strip where Wolverine barged into MJ's dressing room backstage one night, and tried to crack on to her.  Peter Parker couldn't fight him off as Spidey without giving his secret identity away, but MJ very strongly (although politely) told Wolvie were to shove it...

As much as I dislike Spider-Man, I appreciate loyalty.
