DC has just as many great villains as Marvel.
Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Hush, Bane, Catwoman, Lex Luthor, Zod, Bizarro, Brainiac, Doomsday, Ares, Cheetah, Circe, Sinestro, Atrocitus, Professor Zoom, Captain Cold, Deathstroke, Darkseid...
All of those are fantastic villains when they're written properly. Sure, sometimes they're not well written, but when they are they're great.
But the exact same thing applies to Marvel. Green Goblin, Doctor Doom, Magneto, Mandarin, Red Skull, Loki... sure they're great villains, but again, only when they're written properly. There have been many times when those villains have been written completely wrong and they sucked.
The point I'm making is that yes, Marvel's villains are indeed more realistic and flawed like their heroes, whereas DC's are more bizarre and all-powerful. This doesn't mean that either way is the right way, or any better than the other. It just means the two companies are different, and that's a good thing. At least we get more variety and can choose what we want to read.
So let's just call it a tie, yeah?
