So, if you could either have Wolverines claws or Captain America's claws, which would you choose?

Would you rather have Wolverine's claws or Cap's shield?
Yeah, I'm going to assume having the claws won't kill me so I choose them. The shield I can be separated from. The claws will always be at my beck and call regardless. Also, just having the extra weight in my forearm/fist is going to add a hell of a wallop to any punches I'm throwing.
Shield, the claws sound painful but it would be nice to not have to worry about having a sharp knife to cut steak.
I'm pretty sure everyone agrees with the consensus that without a healing factor, the claws would be brutal :P
The Shield, on top of all the problems already mentioned with the claws, you'd automatically set off any metal detectors you pass through, making it that much more inconvenient. And to anyone thinking that claws without the healing factor isn't a big deal, I present the counterargument:
Unless you get Wolverine's healing factor, the claws would be a horrible choice.
But having a random ass shield that will technically have barely any purpose sounds stupid too.
As several others have pointed out, the claws are only good if you have healing factor too. So would take the shield which I'd never use since carrying around a shield would be pointless in my life.

Shield I don't want adamantium poisoning.
I think he meant the bone claws.
I'd pick shield, then sell it at a high price to the richest Captain America fanboy.
If I was a skilled shield wielder (like Cap) I'd most definitely want that ( it protects and attacks, claws just scratch lol). If I had the healing factor it would be cool to have claws and just jump into everything not really caring, but having a shield and bouncing it off 8 guys a wall a mini-van and then a robot shark would be pretty awesome.
because I cannot handle blades properly I'll go with the shield. Might just end up cutting myself with the claws accidentally. lol
Do I....a) want to have the shield of my favorite comic-book character, that would look really spiffy hanging on my wall....
or b) have six razor-sharp claws leaving gory stab wounds on my hands every time I unsheathe, creating possible inflammation and infection, excruciating pain, and uncomfortable explanations. And having abnormal bones in my hand that I literally have very little practical everyday use for (the first person to post the salami-cutting gif gets a slap).

Don't leave us hanging, A or B!?!?
I'll take the claws. They can be useful as beer openers, temporary meat skewers, or surprise shanking tools. Like the others point out, I would have to deal with all the infections and bleeding... But then I rarely need to open beers or skewer meat or shank someone, so I would save the claws for absolute emergencies.
Shield, without Wolverines healing factor the claws don't sound very appealing.

I love how my notification linked me to the Marvel page instead of the comment. CV be acting strange as of late.
