What would be your advice on where to start with reading comics (Wolverine is the matter of interest) for a new reader.

I wan't to know what happend to the character throughout the history, read all the good stories,...

Start off with either X-men Origins Wolverine or the Wolverine 6 issue origin. After that you can really just pick where you want to start. After I read Origins, I jumped straight to volume 5 and I wasn't the least bit lost. Anyways here are all the comics in order of Wolverine. This won't help at all in terms of learning Wolverine's history, but my personal favorite Wolverine story is Old Man Logan. Terrific story if you like crazy action and dystopian futures.

there's a lot of great stories with Wolverine as the central character, but none of them are better stories or better examples of what's great about the character than these two.
