Maybe solo wise they aren't as good as the Arkham games....but that doesn't mean they are all bad. Shattered Dimensions and X-Men Origins Wolverine are pretty good

Marvel vs. Capcom series better than MK vs. DCU and Injustice
Marvel Heroes is better than DCUO
X-Men Legends is better than DC not even having a counterpart

They have some decent games, they just haven't had a big studio do games that aren't movie tie-ins. I'd look to the coming years though as Marvel has been spouting out how they want to focus on their games a lot more hence why you haven't seen the move tie-ins for a while (on console at least aside from Spider-man). I think Deadpool, Marvel Heroes, and Lego Marvel have been steps to better Marvel gaming. It only really takes 1 really good AAA Marvel franchise to get them on par with DC.

@lateralus: IMO Origins was probably the best Marvel game...Haven't played SD but those are the only two games that probably stand out.I wouldn't say MH is better than DCUO.Maybe...in different aspects maybe, but DCUO is what I always wanted in Marvel. But DCUO is Pay2win now atleast IMO...

There was a spiderman game for the 64 that was great IMO, I replayed that game so many times (to unlock all the costumes lol) I cant remember the name as I was young but I remember that last fight is you taking on Doc ock, and Venom takes on carnage, then after you be ock the carnage symbiote goes to doc ock and you have to escape from him or something lol its been a while but that game was really cool.

So just because you don't enjoy them they're bad? I won't go so far to say they're great or anything but like I said its a step in the right direction of making better quality games. Marvel Heroes a free game is still being updated with new characters and items, and skins. And Deadpool a character focused game that isn't spider-man with a developer behind it and it's not a tie-in.

You say that like DC makes quality games. They are both HORRIBLE at making video games with only occasional exceptions like Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Ultimate Alliance and Injustice: Gods Among Us.

@flameboy298: Fair enough. Maybe "outstanding" is a little too much, but for a superhero game, it was pretty good. But mainly, that is because about 80% of superhero games suck.

Definitely, it did have some awesome costumes and cut scenes. And im actually surprised that game doesn't get brought up more during superhero game conversations, maybe it isn't amazing compared to current games but back then it seemed great

Lego just about everything is awesome.

I loved the Spider-Man game where you could replay the game as Harry Osborn in a Goblin suit. The X-Men Legends through Alliance 1 was great. Alliance 2... meh, not so much. I'm weird in that I liked Maximum Carnage and the Punisher game.

Oh, and getting 6 people together to play the old X-Men arcade game was awesome. The Spider-Man (where you could play as Namor, Black Cat or Hawkeye (how did Namor wind up in there?) or the Avengers one was nearly as fun with 4.

Not really, maybe they share some similarities but...

MUA has better story, characters, graphics (character design from MH is awful), gameplay, it doesn't have stupid DLC. Among other details.

I will say the gameplay is different not really any better than the other. The Stories aren't really anything to brag about in either of the games. And yes Marvel Ultimate Alliance did have DLC to the same extent no, but you can also unlock everything in Marvel Heroes without paying a dime.

Also to be clear I'm not ****ing on MAU I actually recently bought that game with the DLC (because you can't download them anymore) and I love the game, but the concept is pretty much the same on a bigger scale. If anything I want Marvel to do some Single-player or tightly made co-op games that focus on individual characters (ala Arkham games).

Not leaps and bounds by any means, especially when you consider the amount of stuff that is on screen in Marvel Heroes, but you are correct MAU2 doesn look better graphically but I think most people would say they prefer the first one hence my comparison. Marvel Heroes also depends on the costumes as well some aren't all that well made in comparison to others.

SIDE NOTE: Daredevil looks really anorexic in that screen shot lol, in fact it's a little odd seeing Mister Fantastic with about the same body mass as both Spidey and DD.
