Well yeah dc came with something but it didn't make some or most of my friends happy superman boy prime was now a herald although most of my friends like the sinestro corps idea but those two combined couldn't keep up with the hype of thor and hulks return. Although truthfully hulk was what really brought the viewers the fights who did you think he'd lose to then the sentry fight which made every little boy and girl heck grown man and women wait to see how it really came out and if hulk would finally get put down. So yeah marvel is up their number one.

it is about tastes, this will never have an answer because both companies are having both good events and bad events, great comics and terrible comics.

hmm let's ssee sinestro corps, ressurection of Ra's al ghul that without counting Final Crisis that is about to start.

a skrull invasion and hulk fighting every hero until someone beats him, The events of Marvel are very original :P

However like I said it's about tastes and what kind of storylines does everyone like

Methos made a thread about this already. Officially DC has passed Marvel for the first time in a long time.

Its all about the story lines, you can make a good story with just about any character, its how it's written! D.C blew me away with Identity Crisis, If Final Crisis is as well written and the art is good, D.C will kickin arse. However, D.C (in my opinion) can also "over do it" with storylines as well. Infinite Crisis had to much going on, and I think (in my opinion) they could have set up story lines a little better. With Marvel, there was alot of hype with WWH, Thor, and Civil War, now we are starting to get individual story lines. Let's just hope that these main story arcs just aren't a flash in the pan and shape the Marvel Universe accordingly instead of copping out and doing a lame re-vamp or back peddle - (Spiderman)

more people are talking about marvel because they have more movies out, but i think marvel because i like the comics. Marvel is more popular to everyone.

In sales? Marvel. By quite a margin.

I actually think that DC is more popular, at least more iconic

DC has only made movies of Superman and Batman, yet other characters like Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, between others are really well known and popular.

Everyone knows who those characters are, the same goes for a few Marvel characters but I personally think that DC is a better known company for not comic readers and is doing a great ammount of amazing comics right now (not saying that Marvel isn't doing that)

OK, I think that Marvel's heroes might be more common, but DC is more of an icon

Well as far as storylines go you have to have read both Marvel and DC for a long time to really compare them. For one Marvel has been killing them in the storyline department for a while and since i still read a lot of DC titles i pray for them to have big events with great storys. Im sorry Infinate Crisis didnt do anything for me most of it was harder to follow than it shouldve been cause it was put together poorly IMO. Don't get me wrong it had its moments, some great fight scenes and such but it lacked in a lot of areas. The 52s were pretty good, as well as Countdown to final Crisis, but IMO Marvel has had more than a few big events DC hasnt touched lately(Planet/WWHulk, Civil War,Messiah Complex, and Annihilation just to name a few) the storys were better the art was better almost everthing was better.  Also DC seems very unoriginal, there writers are lazy i mean how many times can you clone one or two characters, they have some great characters outside of the original JLA members but you would never know it cuz they are terrible at developing there other characters. I hope DC will improve there writing cuz if it weren't for some of the Batman novels and the Sinestro Corps War they would not have too much to stand on as of late. Maybe Final Crisis will pick up cuz right now its very slow.

I agree !!!! with everything you said man.

Eversince I gave DC a look I've been bored with them with the exception of the Batman family, they rock!! I did find however Infinite Crisis to be good though.

But DC actually has quite a few characters that could be really great there just not developing them. Vixen for one, its a no brainer shes sexy her powers are cool as hell and pretty original and a lot of people seem to like her. Another character is Zatanna they don't touch her enough. They could really do more with the birds of prey and Cap atom also IMO. But instead DC would rather keep coming up with clones for Superman ( god knows how many there are) and the Flash. Another thing the top of the top tiers in Marvel are always jocking for position in Marvel to keep it interesting not like DC where you know Superman ( or some version of him) is always #1 and the center of the Universe. Ive been reading DC for a long time and will continue but a few changes need to be made.

That's really interesting no wonder why I was turned off from DC as a child, thank you for reminding me why I chose Marvel in the first dude. You saved my life, well actually you saved me money.

Yeah its seems they beat the heck out of there Big 3 superheros from marketing to storylines more than there other characters which is too bad. I would love to see Zatanna in her own series, and also for Cap Atom since he seems like a space adventure type of hero.
