- Bucky Barnes: Went from being dead to being Captain America
- Jamie Madrox: Unpredictable dupes and became a team leader
- Pixie: Since introduction in 2004 has become an x-man and gained a soul dagger
Bucky would have been in the running if Marvel had not recently decided to go on a mission to undo a lot of his development in recent months.
just do not let Mercy see this, she is broken up enough and does not need to be reminded again.

Illyana Rasputin
Rogue (hit and miss though)
Emma Frost (again, hit and miss)
I can't really commit to any one outside of Magik because for every up, there is a down. Emma is going down presently and Rogue is hovering.
(for a bonus, can I say Gambit/Hawkeye?)
Magik is for sure being featured more, but I am not really a fan of the direction taken overall. They are laying a lot of seeds but not really developing enough of it to keep me interested.

Totally forgot about Norman Osbourne. While I have not always liked the direction they have taken the character he definitely has had a wild last couple of years becoming a central character outside of just the Spiderman mythos.
Again he has got a lot more exposure, but the push was forced all the way through and made zero sense IMO.

To suggest Kaine.
To suggest Flash Thompson.
To suggest Legion.
I do not follow Spidey so I have nothing on Kaine and Flash
As for Legion, his rise is still too new to see if it lasts

Nova's rise pre-Annihilation, during and after was great. Now, they've screwed it up and gone a different direction with the new Nova.
Same as Bucky, Marvel made massive progress with the character only to throw it all away for reasons unknown.
