Okok hear i go. Who would be the ultimate team consist of in the marvel universe to combat a threat on a galactic scale. Which could threaten the state of the universe. Where only the strong will succeed.

My dream team to handle any situation would have to be powerful, but above all versatile and able to function in a team capacity. Spiderman and Wolverine are great, but what if the threat is suddenly in space or a hell-realm? The team members would have to concievably work together too. Having Doom or Thanos or Mad Jim Jaspers on your team has obvious advantages short-term; but would be a sure way to make your worst enemies your own team, eventually. You need to be able to defend against brute force, magic, and psionic threats. With the ability of 5 of my members to essentially ignore physical laws, I was a little unconcerned about too much tech/science specialist work. In my world Strange provides Black Bolt with a way to communicate magically and silently into the minds of his teammates, and so Black Bolt is the leader.

Thor- your basic muscle with a handy magic hammer (and helpful relatives)

Super Skrull- powerful, VERSATILE, stealthy, and lately, concievable as a hero

Hyperion- speed plus muscle

Gladiator- ditto

Vision- versatile,immune to psionics, good with technology because he is technology

Doctor Strange- deus ex machina

Sersei- a psionic who's no slouch physically and can heal, transmute matter (and helpful relatives)

Silver Surfer- sometimes you just need the Power Cosmic

Black Bolt- your basic versatile, tough, doomsday weapon (and helpful relatives)

1)Phoenix = leader, power and connects the group as one

2)Scarlet Witch = reality bending and luck; may seem the weakest for this high scale group but her presence gives the group a stronger fight

3)Silver Surfer = muscle

4)Dr. Strange = magic power

5)The Celestial = intellingence and muscle

6)Black Bolt = power

7)The Beyonder = reality bending and power

8)Adam Warlock = magic, power and muscle

9)Galactus = muscle and power (the colossus of the group)

I chose this group since they represent the highest level of power in the marvel universe. From reality bending to power of creation therefore if the attack is galaxy wide, it can be addressed directly. I also mixed in, technology, magic and your regular fire power to the group so it can address all possible attack given by the threat.

Okay, Ice Prince, that's a mighty powerful team. But in what imaginable way are they going to work togther? At least 4 of them are far more likely to be the threat than to remedy it. Why not trade up for Dormammu, Mephisto and Proteus if no concievable storyline gets in the way?

I guess I chose this team because the underlying story is that there is a threat that will attack their universe, therefore the best of the best needs to address this massive attack. All of these beings, except Scarlet Witch and Dr. Strange, have encountered a galactic scale warfare where they came out as a victor or at least survived it. The Phoenix, l lead because it can connect all of this beings as one mind, so there will be a course of understanding and may even be the voice of reason. To back up Phoenix is Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, Adam Warlock and the Celestials.

Black Bolt, Beyonder (actually a super empowered inhuman mutant) and Galactus, may be an unlikely ally but they are not evil as one may think. I see them neutral actually and do what they do in the comic world for them to survive or understand their existence. Black Bolt did aid the Avengers, Beyonder can be reasoned with and be an ally while Galactus can also be reasoned with and asked to help.

The bottom line is, if you have only one universe, don't you want to save it?

Makes sense. I hadn't considered the Beyonder-Black Bolt connection. I guess I was thinking more of an ongoing team than a one-shot alliance.

More than setting the best team i can, im going to set the one i would like the most; although, it could have some changes.

1 Iron Man- Leader: Has the money the resources to keep the team rolling comfrotably, Vast knowledge in Technology, The good amount of powers that his suit provides and always a key character for any comic book plot.

2 Cyclops- A leader replacement just in case, great tactician, great blast power.

3 The Thing- a fairly goog brick, always ready to fight, never gives up, exelent fighter.

4 Sue Strom- good offense and defense.

5 Doctor Strange- A good tactic support an one of the best, if not the best with magic.

6 Spiderman- His main importance for the team would be his spider sense. Obviously the rest of his powers would help too, but he is in my list mostly because i just like him.

7 Black Bolt- in extremes circunstances they could use his voice.

Seven is my lucky number so i'll leave it like that, but as i said, I could make changes.
