    Captain America's shield is made of vibranium. Vibranium > adamantium.

    Actually the shield is made from an alloy with vibranium. 
    And in most circumstances Adamantium is far superior to normal vibranium. 
    Vibranium can be bent or broken. True Adamantium can't.

    Generally speaking. But for these purposes, Cap's shield is stronger than adamantium.

    I thought I read somewhere that the shield is a vibranium/adamantium alloy, but I could be mistaken.

    Adamantium wasn't invented until after Cap's shield was made. The alloy in Cap's shield is bonded to vibranium while adamantium is the closest they've ever got in recreating the alloy in Cap's shield.

    "strangth"? i'd say adamantium. pretty much indestructable. cap's shield has different purposes and is better for taking beatings.

    the Sheild is proto Adamantium witch is harder to bend or break the true adamantium.  
     
    and Vibranium is in all types of adamantium and is weaker than even adamantium alloy.  
     
    Proto adamantium>primary/true adamantium>secondary adamantium> adamantium alloy>Vibranium.
