Fan-boys.

The bios on the website are pretty good, but I don't get the stupid power rankings or the character clouds.

The blue bars are the official ones, red voted by fans. I'm not sure why Marvel gave Wolverine the top rank 7/7 for speed. You can't even blame that on fanboys as it's the official one. Someone has been putting them into character bios on here, I really don't like them.

There are some really dumb official Marvel rankings out there, I agree.

I'd seen people using those ratings before but to see that on their official site... That's pretty sad.

Maybe it's a low standard. Like the speed is how many times faster can the hero go than a snail.

I noticed that Mephisto had all 1's for official stats and for fan voted ones, at least four, usually at 6 or 7. I'm guessing someone got them transposed, with the fan ones at the "default" of 1.

The descriptions seem to be taken right from the Marvel Encyclopedia, but otherwise doesn't seem bad, even though some places seem incomplete (especially the DC stuff :)). The important issues is a nice idea (we could do it here in the description), but they cram the information in and its hard to read. I couldn't find covers, but I might not have been looking in the right place. It seems to have a fair amount of multimedia stuff. I think its fairly decent, just the stats need a lot of work.

Superkitty says:

They don't have a Hollow a.k.a. Penance page, though. >.> Which is almost okay, considering how messed up her Marvel Encyclopedia entry is, including stats that don't reflect how we've seen her in the comics.

Regarding the "important issues" thing, I was thinking of doing that for a character, considering she tends to often get one or two panel appearances and that's it in an issue, but I think, ultimately it's more useful to have a helpful description.

If there was a tab for "important issues," though, that would be interesting...

You could attach issues then write in the little box why they're important.
