Marvel seems to love young people with powers. Currently in the Marvel Universe, the future looks bright. It looks like there will be TONS of heroes in the future of the MU because there are so many young heroes now.
Lets list off the YOUNG heroes

    • Runaways
    • Young Avengers
    • Avengers Academy students
    • Avengers: Initiative members
    • Young X-men
    • Hope and the Five lights
    • Young Allies
    • The new Thunderstrike
    • Skaar
And Im sure you could name more

My point is there seems to be too many.
Whats your take on this? do you think there are too many Young heroes?

I like young heroes. It shows that the world is not stagnant, and that there is a constantly changing and growing landscape for superheroics

@biggkeem89: I agree. But what about older heroes? Like grandfathers? I guess heroics are only for the youthful.
I was reading MC2 universe. And i had to take a step back. There are so many potential future Captain Americas. Theres Bucky, Nomad, American Dream, Patriot, and James Rogers. I know American Dream and James Rogers are from alternate times, but you know what i mean.

Do you think the writers at marvel will ever age them? Well i guess Nova was once a young hero. Now look at him. A galactic hero. Rogue was also a young hero.

Yeah, some of them age faster than others, some of them would be teenagers for a longer time...

Honestly I don't think the problem is that they're are too many, but that they're are too many that are very underused at the moment. I mean when was the last time we heard ANYTHING about the Runaways? I'm personally still waiting for a Young Avengers ongoing that never seems to be on its way.

Too many young heroes, not enough Wolverines.

Plus there is Power Pack and Galacta.

    @War Killer:
I agree. Last issues of Runaways weren't awesome, but it's better than a complete silence.
I'd like to see Loners again too. Or to see Slingers reunited.

How old is Galacta? I mean she's gotta be at least a few thousand.

@Emperor Gonzo Noir:  LIES! She is tender, nubile, and fresh, supple and in-between 19 and 22! Oh well, I guess if this is my fantasy imagination land, I could imagine myself to be a few thousand years old as well...

Young heroes are fine and all, but many irritate me. I don't mind Avengers Academy or the Five Lights - I actually really like the Five Lights, but only because the idea of mutants making a comeback excites me and I like Hope. I like the X students.

Overall, I like seeing hero schools, for they make sense.

I like kid superheroes, if they're written well. If they're written as characters, not as what some middle aged dude think teenagers talk like.

Spider-Man was only 15 when he was bitten by the radioactive spider.  Marvel has a history of young heroes that take forever to age.

I love Young Heroes. It makes superheroes related to teens and not only adults
