    I have noticed over the past couple of months that Marvel has been experimenting with paper quality in monthly issues. I am perfectly fine with this or I should say I was until I noticed they are doing it with their trades as well. I bought the ASM: Big Time Ultimate Collection the other week and started reading it about an hour ago. The whole book felt cheap in my hands for something that retails for $40 (Even though I payed $26 for it). The pages are some of the thinnest paper I have ever felt. I mean I am fine with a glued spine but come on I am afraid that I will tear a page out if I use too much force. Anyone else have any similar experiences with Marvel trades?

    @blindisaac:

    I read in Comic Shop News that Marvel is changing their cover stock. Starting in July, all their covers will be no heavier than the pages inside the comic.

    Looks like Im going to be buying strictly hardcovers for the Marvel trades I pick up from now on.

    @blindisaac: I hate it when you buy something that feels cheaply made, especially with trades. I don't tend to buy trades of any company but the ones I have bought seem pretty sturdy.

    @Orion2012: I feel like I've read this before.

    The Big Time UC is the first paperback trade I have bought from Marvel and I am so disappointed. Im glad I chose to get Uncanny X-Force in hard cover.

    @blindisaac: Good choice with the UCXF one. I'd buy more trades if I didn't do individual issues so often.

    I pull around 25 or so issues a month and normally only buy trades around the holidays but I have been making some extra money and decided to splurge. I bought through the Dark Angel Saga in trades and jumped on with issue 19 albeit spoiling some stuff in the process and it is my favorite Marvel series right now (even though I only get 5 from them)
