I like the idea of 18 or more Avengers as there many I want to see take center stage a little more. Not too sure about old x-men returning, I thought most were still around anyway. Not too keen on Bendis' writing for some things either. And it's ever so slightly coincidental Marvel turn to DCs move (in a way) so soon after they'd done something similar. We shall see.

I like the designs except bumblebee man... errr I mean Iron man.

Marvel has seen DC have considerable success with the New 52, so (One Year Later!!) they are doing their own non-reboot / not a relaunch :)

ok, im just going to predict it. Following the trend of DC in September 2011 and Marvel in October 2012, im predicitng a realaunch (im sorry, a re-shufflingaboutwithcontinuity-boot) of Image in November 2013 and Boom in December 2014.

But seriously. An X shaped vizer for Cyclops? They do realize that his current vizer is a straight line because its in line with his eyes right? X shape aint. Cyclops has gone from a character who could shoot lazers from his eyes to a guy who's costume doesnt allow him to actually see anything (and to get him mixed up with Deardevil, a character who really cant see anything...... someone played a fusion card didnt they. Dearclops :P).

If this is ment to be a new idea for new readers (which it will be. It works, as much as i hate to say it) because i thought that thats why the Ultimate universe existed for? Does that make the Ultimate universe redundant now then?

Can somebody tell me why Hulk of all characters needs metal cybernetic enhancements?

I'm going to check these books out. I love Remender's run on X-Force, been hearing some good things about Secret Avengers, so maybe Uncanny Avengers will be good. Avengers being released bi-weekly. Sounds cool. Is it going to continue off of Bendis run on Avengers? Will it be issue 31, 32, 33, etc or just relauch the book at issue 1? Bendis writting X-Men. The story sounds interesting, but it sounds like it could be a mini series. I going to give it a shot.

SO heres what I don't get. Is Marvel going to reboot their books like DC's New 52 or just doing it for the Avengers and X-Men books? Are they going to end some Avengers and X-Men books? Will all the Avengers and X-Men book be put back at issue 1 or will they continue where they're at now? What I mean is after Avengers Issue 30, will they continue on from that with issue 31 or go back to issue number 1? And are they're going to be more books other than these three?

Yikes, some of these looks don't look that good to me. As for the reboot, well, it was just a matter of time I suppose, even if it does seem rebooting is the cliche option now for distributors to be using :/

I used to be all about Marvel, but in the past several years it's become so self-referential, up-its-own-@$$ and preachy I just haven't enjoyed any of their titles for a long, long time. Let's just hope they fix some of the stupider tropes/ideas/paradigms/whatevers that have developed. Such as.... The X-Men are way to ham-fisted with the preachiness. Can we have an X-Men story that's just a fun adventure and not a heavy-handed gay rights metaphor? Less Wolverine. The whole mutant-thing in general. Mutants should be incredibly RARE, not so common that storylines involving "Mutant Registration" are feasible. Less SHIELD. Way less SHIELD. Make Galactus what he's supposed to be: The Ultimate Threat. Literally incomprehensibly powerful and the ONLY thing that can stop him is the Ultimate Nullifier. (Galactus seems to have been powered down at the same rate Wolverine's been powered up.) There's more, but tired of typing. Just....bring it back to basics Marvel.

Okay......keep Planet Hulk and World War Hulk in the timeline and forget everything after that so that it would still be known that he is Number 1 like he should and I'll keep an open mind about some kind of armor that is suppose to have a purpose on the most powerful being on the planet. lol

They're relaunching titles which is something they periodically would do anyways so it's really not a big deal.

They sure as hell better not be sloppy about it though because they don't seem committed to changing the universe but appear to be interested in making some awfully dangerous adjustments.

Um, didn't everyone flip out over the DC relaunch? Didn't that turn out good? Besides, Marvel is WELL known for alternate timelines and things like that, look at House of M. It lasted for a while and then things went back to normal. Let's wait and see if this is a good a move as the DC relaunch and if it's not THEN we can complain.

a tear literally formed in my eye, don't know what's worse DC announcing a Justice League movie after Avengers started breaking records or Marvel doing a reboot for no good reason. Forget everything else, what happened to the chart showing future events, they have been following it now they just want to kill it dead. I actually want to see Ultron's rise to power and how it happened.............I'm seriously debating quitting comics

Marvel has been doing this after every event (Shattered Heroes/Regenesis, The Heroic Age, Dark Reign, The Initiative, post-Dissassambled). They have always even put out a general teaser image just like the one in the article.

Why are people getting so emotional over this, again?

This isn't a reboot, that isn't Ultimate Fury, it's Marcus Johnson (birthname Nicholas and son of Fury, they didn't change 616 Fury, they replaced him by his Black Son) and that Jean Grey is time travelling, and that Nova guy isn't Rich, Rich sacrificed himself with Starlord to keep Thanos in an alternate dimension.
 
 At least now we know Cyclops won't die after AvX (now I'm hoping Emma doesn't die, I would hate to see any of them killed, they're my favs along with Nightcrawler who is already dead). Also, how can he see with that helmet? I knew he was getting a new costume but this one... I guess i will get used to it with time. 
 
And why Cable has an eyepath on his right eye? He only had scars on it and his white eye was the other one (and now without the Technovirus I think both eyes are completly natural). 
 
Thor looks cool, but I think without the cape he sacrifice his mighty looks with dynamic looks. And I think too that what Hulk have is to control him.
 
Both Avengers book look interesting, specially because of the writters and what Rick could do with characters like Havok and Thor on the same book, but I really wish the All New X-Men is a limited series with just one arc (4 issues at much) and the classic x-men soon returning to the past before they cause a time paradox. And I would hate it if this is an excuse to kill Emma in AvX and bring Jean and Scott together (specially since there would be a second Scott who is actually dating THAT Jean Grey).

Ok so I can kinda understand that this is not a relaunch.

1. Take 616 Continunity
2. Shake for 12 issues
3. Once settled, let 616 continue starting in October.

I'm not as skeptical about this than I was (am?) about the DCnU, but if they better not ruin Captain America.......character wise. I'm glad they've finally tweaked Cap's costume (^_^) but I need to see more of it first to judge it properly.

I'm not sure what to think quite yet. I need more info, but I can honestly say that Caps costume looks like total crap.
