WARINING SPOILERS

In Iron Man 2, the whole plot where Tony had to discover an element that would just so happen to save his life seems a bit stupid, but i got thinking. It was Tony's father who discovered the element......he also studied the Tesseract. Could it be possible that the element Howard discovered was the element that made up the Tesseract? If you notice, it is a glowing blue substance that seemed to make its own energy, and it reacted well with all future repulsor tech, like the tesseract did with Stark Tower.

I think that the way they made it in the movies was quite obviously to makes us connect the dots. No surprises or spoilers here, unless you just watched the movies for the first time
