I mean. When AVX was over I didn't expect to have another BIG event for a while. Now we have Age of Ultron coming up. I'm not saying I don't like the events but if we have a lot of BIG events right next to each other I feel like it can be a bit to much.

    Your thoughts?

Age of Ultron doesn't start until March....that's 6 months after AvX ended...there's a lot of books coming out in between them so it's not like they're happening right after the other....plus you don't have to read them if you don't want to

I do have a problem when Marvel puts out too many events next to each other because sometimes if the event is in continuity, then they would be changing the characters' personalities too much to suit the event and that can be too much for any fan.

@Rabbitearsblog: I heard that Captain America or Cyclops(I forgot which) was an A***hole in AVX and that their personality in the previous event was different.

That's true.  Captain America and Cyclops were a bit out of character during this entire event.

I'd hate to be a civilian in the Marvel Universe, every six months something horrible happens.

It is my biggest issue with their marketing. They have so much potential in these post event comics that is unexplored to set up and force another event.

[inserteventnamehere]: The biggest thing to happen to the Marvel Universe! (since our last even five months ago)

It gets tiresome damn quickly. Every event, is the BIG game changer, only not.

Also, switching this to the Marvel forums.

I totally agree with this! I'm starting to get tired of Marvel putting all of these events too close to each other every year!

@Mercy_: Age of Ultron is a game changer! They're actually fighting villains this time around!

Anyway, I'd be okay with events if they were written better.

THIS MONTH....EVERYTHING CHANGES..for like a week until we change it again with the next event and conveniently forget whatever we just did..cause continuity is hard..like math.

I hate how when there is an event, EVERYTHING ELSE is tied in with it. I wish I could just stick to my normal pickups, along with the event BY ITSELF, and not miss anything important. Like when they mention something in the main event series that happened in another comic that I wasn't picking up, then it just makes me have to waste money on the other comic! They need to make their main event comics good enough that you don't need any tie-ins.

I agree! I think that was the biggest problem with AVX, there were just too many tie ins!  The story should have tried to stand on itself instead of dragging other comics into it!

Ultron did quite a bit of damage the last time he really went all out (didn't he kill 10,000 people)

Marvel has set the bar pretty high.

I just want a series that have a strong beginning and CONCLUSION (Not Civil War & WWH)

I hope to see that too. I'm getting tired of Marvel putting out events that are rushed and not well thought through.
