Which of the following do you think is the superior Marvel Series?
Wolverine & the X-Men
or
Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes

Avengers failed once already, we'll see if they can make it past season 1.
" not a fan of either. I vote Spectacular Spider-Man "For probably the first time ever... I agree with this guy.
But the classic Spider-man show was my favorite. Between these two... Probably Avengers, by just the slightest margin.
Thus far I'd say Wolverine and the X-men edges them out by a small margin, but pretty soon I think I'll being saying the opposite
It's bizarre to compare a cancelled series with one that's still relatively new.
If anything I see Avengers as a worthy successor to W&TXM. Not better. Not worse. Just a good show to watch since the other one isn't around any more. I've also enjoyed being introduced to several characters I'm not familiar with.
The writing is good (same writers as W&TXM). Avengers just doesn't sit well with me for production reasons really.
Wolverine and The X-Men shame there not doing another season....def looking fwd to the Anime though....Japanese opening for The 90's AS....
They're both good, but I give it to Avengers.
I did not like the premise for WXM. First off, the show had a bad name. Wolverine and the X-Men tells me right off the bat that this is a show about Wolverine with guest appearances of the other X-Men. If they wanna do a Wolverine solo show, I say go right ahead, but don't play it off like the X-Men are just a group of sidekicks compared to him. Also, the way that Cyclops acted in that show made me angry. He was being a sad, mopey, b*tch and whoever gave him a trench coat may have been pretty dumb. Seriously, when has he ever worn something like that? That's Gambit's shtick, not Cyclops's.
That's the bad, but there is some good from this show. The voice acting was superb. Steve Blum is a perfect Wolverine and everyone else's voice fit the character. The costume designs (with the exception of Cyclops and Beast) were great. The action was also something that drew me into the show. They had just the right amount of it.
Now Avengers EMH is just something else. They took all of my favorite Marvel heroes (I'm a sucker for The Big Three) and just made them even greater on the show. Everyone has the perfect amount of screen time (which is remarkable when you consider the team has 8 members and growing) and the stories are incredible. Everyones characterization is pretty much spot on (with one little problem that I'll get to shortly). I'm fairly confident that this will last a bit longer than WXM, but nobody can see the future, right?
But with all the good there are a few problems. For one, as popular as Iron Man is, he shouldn't be leading this team. This is the problem with characterization I spoke of earlier. When you're entering the heat of battle, it should be Captain America that should be barking the commands, not Iron Man. Secondly, the roster is getting too big. As long as everyone gets good screen time, I wouldn't mind it, but how long can they keep it up? Also, why is Wasp the only female member? We need more female heroes making some appearances such as Ms. Marvel, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, and Spier-Woman. Lastly, the animation isn't as good as WXM or Spectacular Spider-Man, but they can always improve on that, right?
Sorry for the long post, lol
" @xerox-kitty: Not to mention that it appears that you will probably see an Avengers and X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover eventually. We've already had mention of Reed, a newspaper a guy was reading in the last show mentioned a secret school for mutants and I believe the MDRB or whatever it was called in WatXM was mentioned in the shorts that aired prior to the first show. "Wolverine was in the show already to
I prefer Avengers, having only seen a few microepisodes, I prefer it for the following reasons;
Hank Pym
The Wasp
That is all.
I hate Wolverine and the X-Men anyway. Wolverine leading the X-Men? Yeh, go die.

Two words for you - Alternate Universe.
Both excellent series, like many things that we are overly critical of here, you have to accept them for what they are. They are still cartoons, meant to appeal to a younger crowd, so they have to take a slightly lighter approach then most X-Books take, and the Avengers movie is trying to include the most popular Avengers of all time, and trying to tie them all together into a somewhat coherent story. They both had good stories, and if you did not mark out a little for the Avengers series when you saw the Ultron's, Kang, some Loki mischief and even Zemo getting into the mix then you are not an Avenger fan at all.
In all I would give the edge to the Avengers because of some of the subtle dialoge that they add to the mix, especially in the first few episodes. It is all about where they take season 2 now, you have to worry about the rest of the escapes, and of course Ultron, so they have some hopefully good stories coming up.
Both were/are great cartoons, I loved W&XM for it's wonderful stories and characters, along with the animation as well. Avengers I think is fantastic because it's showing the Marvel U in a whole new light and introducing famous Marvel characters that most non-comic book readers had never even heard of before. Plus the stories are fantastic and feel like I'm really reading a classic Avengers comic.

This.
did you ever see me complaining about Wolverine being a leader? I'm absolutely OK with it. It's the others who don't like the idea of Wolverine leading X-Men.
