In the New X Men,Hank is already down and Kitty is trying to find out what to do. She calls Reed but Reed is not home. So she makes contact with Tony Snark. In an attempt to find out what to do with Hank 's condition that is quickly getting out of hand.

What i want to know is if Reed did not answer kitty's phone call because of a story that is unfolding at the same time as this issue of the new x men. Or is it nothing ? I don't even come close to keep up with the FF. So i'm kind of thinking i might have been missing out on something that would have caused Reed not too answer a phone call from the x men.

you're talking about All-New X-Men?, issues 4 and 5ish?

if so, Richards was out of the universe (or whatever) at the time, for the entire run of Fantastic Four (2013).
