"Hero Up!" With The Super Hero Squad Show

Posted by G-Man (30642 posts) - - Show Bio

Here's a bit of information I wanted to post earlier today.  Beginning today on the Cartoon Network, you have the chance to catch the Marvel-ous debut of The Super Hero Squad Show.  You can experience the adventures of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Silver Surfer, Wolverine and all your favorite Marvel Heroes like you haven't seen before.  You can see Marvel's deadliest villains unite to fight against our heroes.  Can the Super Hero Squad protect Super Hero City?  Will Dr. Doom and his evil allies gather the pieces of the powerful Infinity Sword and rule the universe?

I posted the huge voice cast for the show last month HERE.  Cartoon Network is airing a number of sneak premieres to give you a taste of this new show.   Don't worry if you've already missed today's episodes, you'll have another chance to catch them:

9/14/09 Sneak Premiere (Episodes 1 & 2) - 7PM
9/16/09 Sneak Premiere (Episodes 1 & 2) - 7AM
9/18/09 Sneak Premiere (Episodes 1 & 2) - 3PM
9/19/09 Premiere (Episodes 1 & 2) - 8:30AM

10/10/09 - (Episode 5) - 8:30AM

Are you going to check out this show to see what the excitement is all about.  With that massive voice cast, they must be doing something right.

I'll be checking it out on Teletoon up here in Canada.

Although I'm turned off by the kiddy animation, I'm excited about the aspect of all the Marvel heroes together in one show. We'll finally get to see characters we barely or never get to see such as:

Iron Fist
Luke Cage
Captain Britain
Dr. Strange
Ms. Marvel
Falcon

and many others...

I would of thought Spider-Man would be perfect for this type of thing,  is their a specific reason he didn't make the roster.  I'll give it a watch but I know I won't be putting it on my DVR.

I realize its meant to get kids into marvel and kudos for that. I liked the ethnic diversity and fair portrayal of everyone..maybe the next generation will get it right.

With that said it was good action-wise except for the boogers and drool etc and just a bit childish for my taste.
