What 5 marvel characters would you choose to form a team? This isn't necessarily a "name your 5 favorite characters" type thing. Create a team that you think could work well together or have an interesting story/chemistry. They could be hero or villain team, or even a mix as long as you could somehow justify it in a way that makes sense. Feel free to explain why you chose your characters, and what they would contribute to the team. I haven't thought of my team yet so I'll post again once I figure it out. I'm interested to see what you guys come up with

No Galactus, Thanos, Kang, and similarly powerful characters. It's no fun having just one character on the team to be able to do all the work.

I would love to see a new God Squad. It's easily the best thing to come out of Secret Invasion IMO. The dream line up would be:

Thor (Leader)- The Odinson has lead his people before, so why not lead even more gods?

Hercules (Brawn) I always loved when Herc and Thor butt heads so having them work together seems like a lot of fun.

Muramasa (Weapons) He made a sword out of Wolverine's Bezerker rage that can kill healing factors. Imagine what he could make from a god

Damion Hellstrom- Son of Satan I loved him when he acted as Strange's unofficial number two for a while. Every team needs their silver tongue and who better for that job than the son of the price of lies?

Phobos- He is the Greek god of fear and son of Ares which makes him Herc's nephew. He was also personally trained by Nick Fury for the Secret Warriors and has Grasscutter, his own Muramasa blade for killing gods. He might be a kid but he is a badass.

Magik - mass teleporter, budding sorcerer ability
Kitty Pryde - infiltrator and budding leadership material
Monet - brick and added versatility
Rogue - versatility
Triage - healer

I honestly think this team could work, since none of the characters have grudges against each other (to my knowledge) and each bring an interesting skill set to the team.

I think this could work. The villains would do it (maaaybe not Abom) because of the bombs that are planted inside of them, Stark would organize the whole shibang, and I'd imagine it'd have some good chemistry. Maybe. I haven't read that many marvel comics.

My team is street-levelers. They're like mercenaries, I'll call them "Mercs for Hire".

Cyclops accepted the mission, he'll send Mystique in to scout the target and obtain information then report back to the team. Cyclops formulate a plan. Amadeus cho being the brain, analyses the plan, and invent equipments for the plan. Luke Cage being the muscle/tanker, sent into the base act as distraction. Daredevil and Mystique sent in to take out main target while Cyclops supports Luke, and Daredevil and Mystique join them later. All of them use what created by Amadeus cho.

Every team needs a telepath (Betsy), and a back up if things go badly (Sage)

Every team needs some overwhelming power (Thor and Storm)

Every team needs a battering ram (Hulk and Thor).

Every team needs an infiltration expert (hmmm... here we have two masters and one expert... Sage, Psylocke and Storm respectively).

Every team needs ass-kicking fighters... all five. And woe-betide anyone who thinks the weak link here is Sage. She's the scariest of them all.

Every team needs a versatile, fill any (or almost any) role member... bonus if they're the leader (Storm).

Storm and Thor... perfect combo. I'd love to see Thororo happen. Sage and Psylocke would me a terribly deadly combo. They both also work incredibly well with Storm. Thor and Hulk are H2H monsters. Storm, with Thor as her 2nd, is a great leader. This is a take on all-comers, get-the-job-done-no-matter-the-cost team.

Vengence:

Villain team, underdogs that could be dangerous, but just don't have the brains for it.

Leader/Founder: Count Nefaria, who before he had powers, organized a team to capture the X-Men.

Spot: One of the weirdest teleporters out there, that consistently looses to Spider-Man.

Plant Man, ionically upgraded to Swamp Thing-esque status.

Absorbing Man & Titana for the power couple that just can't get a break.

I really like some of teams a lot guys, I think I finally came up with mine

1) Cable - a great leader with a great arsenal of powers and weaponry

2) Daredevil- close combat specialist and great for detection/awareness

3) Luke Cage - The muscle and brawn of the team

4) Black Panther - The brains and another great close combat specialist, a lot of resources through his tech

5) Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze) - The energy projection and mobility of the team, serious potential
