With the Avengers making $1.5 billion more than any Spider-Man movie has ever made I was wondering which brand was more valuable to Marvel. I see a lot of Avengers merchandise especially with kids, obviously Spider-Man is more popular with the kids but overall I'm not sure which franchise is more popular right now. I'm leaning towards Spider-Man because of his name recognition alone and huge popularity with kids.

What do you guys think?

Spiderman's movie rights aren't owned by Marvel.

So I would say Avengers.

For the kids Spider-man may have a little notability, but I say that's because they have had more Spider-man related cartoons over the years. They are both very useful to Marvel and Disney. I would say that Avengers is a bit more important to them though, because is more of their own. With Spider-man they have to share it with Sony, movies wise anyways, but most everything is theirs. Avengers is done by them and everything is there's, so it brings in more money to them.
