I am still wondering if anyone is still keeping up with Rick Remender's run on the The Uncanny Avengers?
Marvel

Anyone still reading Remender's The Uncanny Avengers
@longbowhunter: Same here, Acuna is the boss. UA has had some great artists, but Acuna really makes the book for me.
Overall, it's lots of fun. With big cool action.
@the_tree: Yeah Acuna is just a great fit for this book. Thing I like the most about Remender is his ability to get me to care about characters I previously didn't. My two favorite characters so far have been Wonder Man and Havok. Loving the new arc so far.
@longbowhunter: Yeah. I didn't give a s### about Havok prior to this book, and I think he's great. Also, as a Kang fan, this book is awesome.

Wish they'd update Alex's costume though....
@jaken7: I sat in on a Marvel panel last year and Remender talked about how Havok and Sunfire were X-Men during his favorite era. I think the old costumes are his idea.

Damn. Can't exactly complain then I guess. AoA Sunfire is so much cooler looking though...
@jaken7: Absolutely. AoA Sunfire is one of my all time favorite character designs.
I'm going to give the series another shot. I didn't really like the Red Skull arc but if you guys can tell me when a good jumping on point after that arc is I would really appreciate it.
@jaken7: I always felt it was too Tron-like.
I'd like no mask at all. I thought it was cool when he had his "How about Alex?" moment.
I want him to have the simple costume he has now, but without the mask. Then have one white Tron-like line that connects the white circle to an armored arm/gauntlet sort of thing that can be used to focus a blast out of his hand. That's my dream costume.
@humanrocket: Right after the Red Skull arc there's an issue drawn by Coipel. Stuff starts getting good there. Man, nobody liked the Red Skull arc.

Thanks. Well I think the idea of the arc didn't really catch my attention. I did like the direction of the series about getting mutants and the Avengers on the team but the story didn't make me want to keep getting the issues. But Ill check out the series from the start point you told me. Thank u.
@humanrocket: Yeah I dropped it after issue 3 or 4 but jumped back on when Sunfire joined the team. That Red Skull arc was just weird and Cassaday was phoning those pencils in. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series.
Still waiting for the book to be cancelled. The true Avengers book is Mighty Avengers. Avengers and X-men have no business teaming up together.
You're entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is pretty bad.
Best Avengers book on the shelves.

totally agree with all of this.

I liked the first arc, but it totally could have been told in 3 issues rather than 4 (a trend that's becoming far too common among marvel books, especially in their initial arcs). Issue #5 - Let The Good Times Roll is a great jumping on point, and everything from issue 6 onward is kind of one big epic that seems to be now (as of issue #18 - Avenge the Earth Part One) entering it's third act.
It is always one of my most anticipated titles each month. It's telling a grand story that has been great within it's own bubble. I hope that it wraps up as good as it has started. Very excited to see Kang appear as he is one of my favorite characters ever since Kang Dynasty and Avengers Forever.

oh, don't tell him that..
@oldnightcrawler: trust me, I said it through gritted teeth.

You might have to see a orthodontist about that.

yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man..

@humanrocket: The Red Skull arc felt a little forced. I wished the series started off better. I will give the second trade a shot.
Uncanny Avengers is my favorite ongoing right now. Remender's writing, as always, is top notch and Acuna is the perfect artist for this story. If you're not already reading Uncanny Avengers, I'd certainly suggest you do.
Do you need to have read x-force prior to reading uncanny avengers? I love what I've heard about this series so far.
Definately one of the best marvel books right now. Also a great team roster, i just hope that they bring mcniven back for the art
Well I gave the book another chance and...I'm in love with the series. I've gotten up to issue 15 and it's been a great read. I'm looking forward to adding this book and dropping New Avengers.
I'm reading this digitally. I haven't liked it as much since the Earth got destroyed. But I'm sure it will pick back up for me again soon. I do think this is the best current Avengers title out of the ones I'm reading, but I've never read any Mighty Avengers, Avengers AI, Avengers Undercover, Avengers Assemble, Avengers Arena, etc. What what's-his-name who took over from Bendis on Avengers and New Avengers is doing just seems like a mess to me. Secret Avengers is enjoyable.

Yeah, the current Mighty Avengers would be a very close second for me, so if you haven't checked it out yet, I'd recommend it. But Uncanny' is still just supremely epic.
and I totally agree with your assessment of "what's-his-name".
Really glad to see so many people are digging this book.
i am but i feel i may drop it now since i only buying because sentry was back and he ain't appearing for now again so i may just drop it. Although i think i will wait until this planet x arc is over.
I dropped it at issue 11 or 12. Shame too, I actually liked a lot of the characters on the team but the whole storyline with those apocalypse twins just weren't grabbing me.
@mogo1: it's still really good.
