I heard they were making a deadpool movie, then I heard they weren't, then heard they were again. SO currently what's the word on the deadpool movie? Did they dump it or are they still working on it or something. Dr. strange is cool, but ant-man(hank "wife beater" pym) gets a movie before deadpool that's just crazy...
Marvel
Formerly known by names including "Atlas" and "Timely", Marvel Entertainment is the publisher of comic books featuring iconic characters and teams such as the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Daredevil. Currently owned by the Walt Disney Company, Marvel is one of the "Big Two" comic publishers along with DC Comics.
Ant-man and Dr.strange movie...where's deadpool?
@chem86: I think they might be trying to distance themselves a little more from the Wolverine Origins abomination Deadpool. Maybe he might pop up in someone's movie before then.
First off, Deadpool's film rights are owned by Fox. Not Marvel/Disney. Second, edjumacate yourself on Pym.
Hey man, just be glad good ol' Deadpool isn't going to get a movie made by Fox. They would only make an awful Deadpool film just like they made the embarrassing Wolverine movie and the awful Brett Ratner X-Men film. And BTW, Pym is waaaayy more than just a simple wife beater: he is one of the original Avengers, creator of one of the best villians in the MU, and can rival Tony Stark and Bruce Banner in the smarts department.
Because Fox does just enough to get by with the X-Men, and nothing more.
Also, Strange & Ant-Man are being introduced purely to be Avengers.
What they should do in every Marvel movies is have Deadpool show up in random scenes and say some jokes.
I don't agree with that, it would just cheapen the character.
Plus, Marvel would be sued by FOX for using their character.

It's because Deadpool has to be a Hard-R, and the odds are against it making a ton of money and the budget will probably eat most of the take. The studio is a business. It wants to make money.
@mpierce2690: they could make it work with a T rating but it wouldnt be the same and as for ant man seriously he should have been in the avengers along with wasp
@thecowman: Don't forget Parker.
@thecowman: Don't forget Parker.
And of course, there's always Batman. Though he didn't have a wife, so he had to settle for child abuse.
@mt_revolution: What is a T rating? Isn't that just for video games? Either you go PG-13, which isn't really enough for a true Deadpool movie between the dialogue, the violence, and how much we ought to see Deadpool in a speedo, or you go R, and the history just doesn't support a big-budget R-rated super-hero flick.
@mpierce2690: im not saying it would be a good idea but they managed to screw deadpool over in origins they would probably mess him up again but atleast hes getting a game
