Be warned there are possible spoilers for future films in this article. Marvel is known for setting up their next installments via post-credits scenes. The most recent one for Thor: The Dark World linked that film to Guardians of The Galaxy. Introducing audiences to Benicio Del Toro’s character The Collector. Along with setting up the infinity gems and the infinity gauntlet. However, there was something else in that scene that was picked up by NerdReactor. That being Marvel’s iconic cosmic character and fellow Guardian Adam Warlock, possibly in cocoon form.

There is a brief image of an alien cocoon. Having a striking resemblance to Warlock’s cocoon form the comics. It’s possible Marvel could be setting up Warlock as the item of interest in Guardians of The Galaxy. LatinoReview hinted a while back that Adam would be seen in suspended animation in the space epic. Speculation had already been circling that the living infinity gem (Warlock) could be the reason the Guardians are being chased by both Thanos and The Nova Corps. throughout the universe. Perhaps, understanding it’s value and stealing it from the Collector. Warlock is an unpredictable character since he’s played both hero and villain (Magnus) in the comics. A fitting complex character for the MCU and supporting member of the Guardians. We’ll know for sure if Adam is in the film come August of next year, or when a full trailer is released. It’s expected that a Guardianstrailer could be attached to Captain America: The Winter Soldier in April.

@killemall, looks like you finally got to see him on big screen! the great MAGUS!

In my humble opinion, there is no Guardians without Warlock and Quasar.

Definitely looks like they're heading in the DnA direction for the film. There's just so much you can do with Warlock, the potential is there.

@goddamnironman: very well seen, I dunno, it's like the human torch in captain America, maybe just a Easter egg, like captain America in Hulk... It had no baring on the actual origin in the end.
